We spent a long weekend in Yarmouth Massachusetts with Joe, Kath, and "B" a few weekends ago. We had such a great time! Trying to fit everything in, in such a short period of time, was quite the challenge. We were up for it though no matter how tired we got.
Here are a few snapshots from our fantastic vacation.

On Sunday Mark and I ran in the Falmouth Road Race. It was the 40th running. Here's the story: Joe, Kath, Mark and I were suppose to run together. When you registered back in May it was a lottery. Mark and I didn't get in but Joe and Kath did. So you're wondering why you see pictures of Mark and I running? If you look close, our bibs say Joseph and Kathryn. Unfortunately for them (and fortunately for us) they had some injuries that stopped them from running.
We are so thankful that they let us run in their place. Mark and I had so much fun. It was a 7 mile race that hugged the coast and ran through the quaint town of Falmouth. |

We received these medals when we finished |
The very next day we spent on Martha's Vineyard. It was our first time on "The Vineyard". I absolutely loved it. I definitely want to make plans to go back. There are many ways to get around and we chose bike rentals. Needless to say, one day is not long enough to see everything. What we did see was just beautiful. See for yourself.
First we started out in Oak Bluffs. It is where the ferry drops you off.

Then we rode our bikes from the lighthouse in Oak Bluffs to Edgartown.
When we returned to Oak Bluffs, we had some time to kill before we caught the 6:15 ferry back to The Cape so Chloe, Aaron and "B" rode the oldest merry-go-round in the country.
The town we stayed in for the whole weekend was in Yarmouth. Incase you're not sure where that is on The Cape.....
Our hotel was right on the beach so it made for some great walks and incredible pictures.

Just missed the sunrise....it would have been spectacular. Oh, well....after running 7 miles and then biking 20 miles the next day, my body just couldn't get up early enough....sigh! |
Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard are places that we will visit again. Even though the kids are getting older, it's never too late to make memories. My hope is that they loved it enough to maybe start their own memories as they make their way into new chapters in their lives.
Goodbye and we will be back soon!
Holly
